Nick at Nite Adds Two Comedies to Fall Lineup

NEW YORK, March 8: Nickelodeon’s night-time programming
block, Nick at Nite, has acquired two
ABC series, America’s Funniest Home Videos and George Lopez, for broadcast on the network this year.

Starting from April 30 at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT), the network
will roll out 111×30-minute episodes and 2×1-hour specials of America’s
Funniest Home Videos.
Nick at Nite has
acquired all 120 episodes of George Lopez for premiere this fall during Hispanic Heritage Month. The two new
series join the Nick at Nite lineup of comedies, which will include Home
Improvement
, the recently added Growing
Pains
, the Emmy Award-winning series The
Cosby Show
, Full House, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Roseanne.

Now in its 17th season on ABC, America’s
Funniest Home Videos
features hilarious
home videos that capture unexpected mishaps and embarrassing moments. The show
was hosted for eight seasons by former Full House star Bob Saget from 1990-1997. It is produced by Vin
Di Bona Productions and is distributed by Disney's Buena Vista Television.
Currently in its sixth season on ABC, George Lopez features the Hispanic stand-up comedian George Lopez who
works in a Los Angeles airplane-parts factory. It is produced by Fortis Films
and Mohawk Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

"Both series are huge favorites with families and are
perfect for our audience,” said Tom Ascheim, the EVP and GM of Nickelodeon
Television. “Nickelodeon/Nick at Nite is a pioneer of sharing 'user-generated
content' with viewers, and America's Funniest Home Videos fit the 'UGC' definition before the term existed.
George Lopez is one of America's funniest comedians, and he and his TV family
connect with all ages and ethnicities."
