New Appointments at National Geographic Kids Entertainment

WASHINGTON, February 8: National Geographic Kids
Entertainment (NGKE) has filled two newly created positions: Melanie Grisanti
as VP of production and Darren Metzger as franchise marketing director.

Grisanti’s role will involve overseeing the flow of all
production for the kids’ programming production unit and supervising series set
up, budgeting, scheduling and studio management, in the U.S. and around the
world. She will report to Donna Friedman Meir, the president of National
Geographic Kids Entertainment. Grisanti comes to NGKE from Cartoon Pizza Inc.
(formerly Jumbo Pictures), where she spent 15 years as a producer.

Metzger will manage the direction and strategic marketing of
National Geographic Kids-branded properties globally, reporting to Shannon
Hebert, the VP of integrated marketing for National Geographic Entertainment.
Most recently, he was the director of ad sales marketing at Home & Garden
Television at Scripps Networks.
