ABS to Distribute TBN’s Channels in Asia-Pacific

HONG KONG, February 5: Hong Kong-based Asia Broadcast
Satellite (ABS) has agreed to distribute California-based Trinity Broadcasting
Network’s (TBN) group of religious channels throughout the Asia-Pacific region
via the Southern Ku-band beam of the ABS-1 satellite.

TBN’s group of channels will be distributed throughout the
Asia-Pacific region extending from Mongolia to the south of Thailand and across
Eastern Europe, Asia and Japan, reaching a potential audience of several
billion viewers. TBN is a religious broadcasting group that owns and operates seven networks, including The Church
Channel, JCTV youth network, TBN Enlace USA Spanish network and Smile of a
Child TV children’s network. TBN reaches every major continent via 54
satellites and more than 12,000 television and cable affiliates.

“ABS-1 offers the widest Ku-band coverage in Asia,” said Tom
Choi, the CEO of ABS. “We look forward to partnering with TBN to expand the
distribution of their channels across Asia, focusing on key markets such as
Thailand and India through DTH and CATV distribution. We are very excited to
include TBN in our growing neighborhood of free-to-air channels on our
high-powered Ku-band platform.”
