GSN Commissions Mast Media/GI Format

LONDON/LOS ANGELES, December 14: GSN in the U.S. has
commissioned a pilot of War of the Words,
a Mast Media quiz show that is represented by Granada International as part of
a recently inked first-look agreement between the two British companies.

Mast Media heads
Steve Havers and Mark Baker will be executive producers on the pilot, and on
any subsequent series. Granada International owns all international rights to
the format, a word-based quiz, which it will be officially launching at MIPTV.
The deal with GSN was negotiated by Mast Media’s agents Holly Pye and Collin
Reno at the William Morris Agency.

Mast Media commented, “It’s great to get our Granada International deal off to
such a positive start. A simple high-concept game show that can be produced at
high volume and low cost is just the sort of show we were hoping to develop as
part of this agreement.”
