FUNimation Doubles Length of Anime Block

FORT WORTH, September 11: Navarre Corporation’s FUNimation
Entertainment has doubled the content on its syndicated anime block to four
hours.

CoLours TV Network, dedicated to multicultural programming
and multi-ethnic issues, is the first broadcaster to sign up for the extended
block. The channel is available in the U.S. on the DISH Network. It launched
the four-hour version of the block today, airing it daily at 8 p.m.

Gen Fukunaga, the president and CEO of FUNimation
Entertainment, said the move was in response to “strong fan feedback and
network partner response.”

Tracy Winchester, the president and CEO of CoLours TV,
added, "We are excited about expanding our line-up schedule with
programming content that is in great demand by our urban, savvy viewers.”

The new extended block will feature uncut episodes from
titles such as Yu Yu Hakusho, The
Slayers
and Negima.
