Warner Bros. Names New U.S. Distribution Chief

BURBANK, August 24: Ken Werner has been tapped to succeed
Dick Robertson as the new president of Warner Bros. Domestic Television
Distribution.

Werner has spent the last nine years overseeing network
distribution for The WB and was part of the team that created The CW. Bruce
Rosenblum, the president of Warner Bros. Television Group, noted, “Ken has over
19 years of diversified executive experience with leading entertainment
companies. That rich background, his extensive knowledge of the station
community, incredible relationships with station group heads and local GMs, a
terrific strategic long-term vision and an inherent ability to fashion
innovative solutions to address business challenges make him the perfect choice
to lead our domestic television distribution operation.”

For the 2006-07 season, WBDTD will distribute seven
first-run series, including The Tyra Banks Show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show
and Extra. Its catalogue of
off-network programs currently in syndication includes Two and a Half
Men
, Friends, Sex and the City and the weekend broadcast windows presentations of ER, The West Wing, Cold Case and Without
a Trace
.

Werner joined The WB Network in 1997 as its executive VP of
distribution. He previously served as senior VP of strategic planning and
business development at CBS, after eight years with The Walt Disney Company
where he served as senior VP of Walt Disney Television.
