Neptuno Shores Up Eastern European Deals

BARCELONA, June 14: The Spanish animation outfit Neptuno
Films has notched up a raft of television, new media and licensing deals across
Central and Eastern Europe in advance of its stint at DISCOP next week,
including the sale of 378 episodes to RTV Slovenia.

The Slovenian broadcaster opted for 52 episodes each of Tork, Danny&Daddy—for which it also renewed the
52-episode first season—Dougie in Disguise and The Ugly Duckling, as well as 78 episodes of Connie
the Cow
, and 40
interstitials of Learning with Connie. Also in Slovenia, Tehniska Zaloba acquired
publishing rights for Connie the Cow.

In a
multi-territory deal, Minimax took the IPTV and VOD rights to Danny&Daddy for Hungary, Romania, the Czech
Republic and Slovakia; and Baby TV picked up the pay-TV rights for Eastern
Europe to 104 episodes of Danny&Daddy.

In the
Czech Republic, Czech TV took 26 episodes of Connie the Cow and 40 Connie interstitials; while TV Nova opted
for The Ugly Duckling, taking 52 episodes and six animated movies. Those animated movies were
also sold to IP Trading for Bulgaria and Macedonia.

Other deals
include SDT Poland taking home video rights to Connie the Cow, Soyuz taking home video for The
Christmas of The Ugly Duckling
for Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan; and Kabar Agency picking up the
broadcast rights to Tork for Kazakhstan. In addition, Kazakhstan TV acquired 104 episodes of Dougie
in Disguise
