Series Mania Unveils 2026 Winners

At Series Mania, the Kyrgyzstan drama Red Pants won the Co-Pro Pitching Sessions, while France’s R91 won the Series Mania Buyers Upfront and Canada’s Chachachá! won the SeriesMakers Award.

Red Pants is a ten-part series produced by Erke Dzhumakmatova for Studio Oymo and Pavel Feldman and Alexander Seliverstov for Human Films. It is written by Tilek Cherikov. In takes place in late 1970s Soviet Kyrgyzstan, where a military officer’s daughter forms the first female criminal gang to avenge her father’s death and challenge the oppressive regime. As the winner of the Co-Pro Pitching Sessions, the producers receive a €50,000 prize.

R91, produced by Next Episode and distributed internationally by SND Groupe M6, is a six-part acton thriller. The series takes place on board France’s nuclear aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle (R91). When a crew member is found dead and another goes missing, a military investigator is rushed aboard. He must work with the second-in-command to hunt for the truth before the killer strikes again.

Chachachá! is an eight-part project by writer/director Alison Fairweather Murray and producer Jennifer Weiss.
