AWSN to Offer More Live Women’s Sports on MyFree DIRECTV

All Women’s Sports Network (AWSN) will bring more than 2,500 hours of live women’s sports content to U.S. viewers each year starting in November.

“Live sports have always been central to DIRECTV, and we’re thrilled to give our MyFree DIRECTV viewers access to AWSN’s expanding roster of women’s events, showcasing the energy and momentum of this rapidly growing community,” said Chris Lui, VP of content, strategy and compliance at DIRECTV.

AWSN has added live and library content from more than 25 professional women’s leagues, including basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball and tackle football. AWSN’s free live competition will showcase Athletes Unlimited volleyball, WNBL basketball and OBOS Damallsvenskan soccer throughout November.

“At AWSN, our mission has always been to make women’s sports more accessible and visible to fans everywhere, and this recent relationship with DIRECTV marks a significant milestone in expanding AWSN’s reach to millions of households across the country,” said George Chung, CEO of AWSN. “This collaboration not only broadens our distribution footprint but also reinforces our commitment to ensuring that fans can easily access live women’s sports programming wherever they are. By enhancing accessibility and visibility, AWSN and DIRECTV are helping to elevate women’s sports as a dynamic and integral part of the global sports and entertainment landscape.”
