Darren Nartey to Lead Acquisitions at ITV

Darren Nartey, ITV’s senior acquisitions manager for films and kids, has been promoted to lead the group’s content acquisitions team.

Nartey succeeds Sasha Breslau, who has left the British media group to join HBO Max. He reports to Craig Morris, director of channels, ITVX and acquisitions. Nartey joined ITV’s acquisitions team in 2015 from a role at Channel 5.

“I’m thrilled to start in the role, and really looking forward to working with Craig and the team to bring ITV audiences a brilliant range of acquired content,” Nartey said.

Morris added: “For many years we have benefitted from Darren’s brilliant people skills, editorial nous and innovative deal-making abilities. I’m very excited to now be working more closely with him as he steps up to lead the team and help us evolve ITV’s acquisitions strategy. Acquired content has always played an important role across our family of channels, and has now become a crucial part of ITVX’s growth too.”
