Disney Entertainment Television Unveils Video Podcast Slate

Disney Entertainment Television (DET) is launching a series of video podcasts on Disney+ and Hulu to boost fan engagement, beginning with one focused on Only Murders in the Building.

The video podcasts will feature conversations show cast members and creatives. They will be made available in the U.S. on Disney+, Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. Podcast episodes will also be available via YouTube and will be distributed through audio channels in partnership with ABC News Audio.

The Only Murders in the Building podcast launches next week in time for the season five launch. Only Murders in the Building Official Podcast is hosted and executive produced by series star Michael Cyril Creighton. Guests include series showrunner and executive producer John Hoffman and stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Christoph Waltz, Jane Lynch and Keegan Michael Key, among others.

“We built this slate of companion video podcasts to give our fans even more ways to connect more deeply with the shows they love,” said Shannon Ryan, president of marketing for direct-to-consumer and Disney Entertainment Television. “These are like a backstage pass for their favorite series, and we can’t wait to give fans the opportunity to expand their viewing experience, go behind the scenes with our creators and casts, and continue the conversation beyond each episode in an engaging and entertaining new way.”

Additional companion podcasts will be made available for shows such as Dancing with the Stars, Murdaugh: Death in the Family, Paradise, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Tell Me Lies and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
