FOX Entertainment Studios Sets Heads for Scripted & Unscripted

FOX Entertainment Studios has named Hannah Pillemer as head of scripted entertainment and Allison Wallach as head of unscripted entertainment.

Following the restructuring of FOX Entertainment earlier this year into three key business units—FOX Entertainment Studios, FOX Television Network and FOX Entertainment Global—these new appointments round out Fernando Szew’s senior creative leadership team at FOX Entertainment Studios. Szew is president and head of the unit.

Pillemer, who previously served as executive VP of creative and production at MarVista Entertainment, founded and led by Szew, which FOX Entertainment purchased in 2021. In her new role, Pillemer will lead all development, creative and production for FOX Entertainment Studios’ full portfolio of scripted content. The unit’s scripted brand focuses on bold storytelling with global appeal, working closely with in-house linear platform FOX Television Network on comedy series such as Animal Control and Going Dutch.

Additionally, Pillemer will oversee the production pipeline of nearly 100 made-for-platform movies annually, as well as successful drama series, including Hallmark’s The Way Home and Hallmark+’s The Chicken Sisters. FOX Entertainment Studios is also the exclusive provider of holiday movies for OWN and a major pipeline of holiday films for leading linear cable networks.

Pillemer also launched the company’s new independent production label, Tideline, which champions storytellers’ unique perspectives, unveiled in January 2024 at the Sundance Film Festival.

Wallach, who has been instrumental in building FOX’s portfolio of unscripted content, will now oversee all development, creative and production for FOX Entertainment Studios’ full scope of unscripted entertainment, with a goal of continuing to power FOX Television Network and strengthening the company’s business with third-party platforms in the U.S. and around the world.

The portfolio under Wallach’s leadership includes content from FOX Alternative Entertainment, home to The Masked Singer and I Can See Your Voice; Studio Ramsay Global, including Next Level Chef; TMZ, which recently released TMZ Presents: The Downfall of Diddy on Tubi; and an expanding roster of international studio partners, including Ireland’s Bigger Stage. She also oversees a growing number of global formats such as the celebrity competition Beat My Mini-Mes, the dating series Marriage Market and the celebrity performance competition Celebrity Masterpiece, among others.

“I am honored to be working alongside Hannah and Allison as we build the future of the new FOX Entertainment Studios,” Szew said. “They are both incredibly talented creative executives with strong business acumen and a global point of view who will catapult our ability to create the kinds of unexpected, unforgettable scripted and unscripted original content that will define the FOX brand going forward. I’m energized and grateful to work with these incredible leaders, the teams they’re building and the relationships they continue to foster across the global creative community.”
