The Olympic Channel, in an effort to further expand its worldwide distribution, has launched on Amazon Fire TV.

The Olympic Channel content available on the new app includes a 24/7 live stream in addition to documentaries, memorable moments and more than 400 episodes from original series in the Olympic Channel catalog. Among the content offerings is a collection of programming celebrating the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 that features the opening and closing ceremonies, gold medal performances and more.

The subscription-free Olympic Channel OTT service launched globally following the Olympic Games Rio 2016.

Mark Parkman, general manager of the International Olympic Committee’s global Olympic Channel, said: “The launch of the Olympic Channel on Amazon Fire TV demonstrates our commitment to expanding our distribution to wherever our viewers are watching content. Through distribution on connected TV devices and streaming media players, fans have even more options to discover, engage and be inspired by their favorite sports and athletes.”
