ANAHEIM: Disney has unveiled a slew of upcoming new attractions and entertainment experiences for its theme parks around the world, including Star Wars-themed projects and a Toy Story Land.

The Star Wars experiences will roll out at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando and Disneyland park in Anaheim. Each park will host a 14-acre themed land containing two signature attractions, including a customized secret mission on the Millennium Falcon and a special Star Wars adventure that will place guests in the middle of a climactic battle. There will also be a Jedi Training Academy featuring characters from the Disney XD series Star Wars Rebels.

Additionally, an 11-acre Toy Story Land has been slated for Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida. The attraction will be made up of oversized toys and will include a family-friendly roller coaster, an alien saucers attraction and an expanded track on the current Toy Story Mania! ride.

Over in Hong Kong Disneyland, the company will open in 2016 a ride based on Marvel’s Iron Man character. Finally, Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Florida will house several projects based on filmmaker James Cameron’s Avatar, including a land based on the Pandora planet depicted in the film and a movie-based flying adventure.

“From Disneyland’s 60th anniversary celebration to the anticipation of Shanghai Disney Resort, we’re in the midst of unprecedented growth and expansion around the globe,” said Walt Disney Parks and Resorts chairman Bob Chapek. “With these new announcements, we continue our legacy in creating innovative attractions, worldwide entertainment and magical lands that take our guests into the worlds of stories they love.”
