Ovation Lines Up ITVS GE Programming

SANTA MONICA: Ovation has licensed the U.S. premiere rights for a number of concerts, series and documentaries from ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE).

Among the titles involved in the agreement is Celebrity Exposed: The Photography of Richard Young, a five-parter focused on one of the world’s most in-demand celebrity photographers. Then there is Viva Coldplay, which takes a behind-the-scenes look at the successful British rock band; An Audience with Lionel Richie, a concert film featuring the famed American musician; Disney/Pixar, a special on the leading animation company; and Lang Lang, a doc about the young and talented Chinese pianist.

“This collection of programs is indicative of the scope of content we aim to provide our viewers every day,” said Michelle Zajic, the VP of acquisitions and co-productions at Ovation. “The music shows run the gamut from classic pop to rock to classical, and photography and animation are art forms with wide appeal. At MIPTV, we’ll be on the lookout for more quality, arts-focused content; preferably when Ovation can secure U.S. premiere rights.”
