CANNES: Among the newest titles to join the Fun World Media catalogue are Superior Cage Combat and the adventure-travel series Season on the Edge.

The 12 three-hour Superior Cage Combat event can, which can also be broadcast live, features a rapidly growing segment of mixed martial arts. Each three-hour event features 20 professional fighters matched by SCC partner Ryan Langmaid. The third Superior Cage Combat event is scheduled for November 4 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

The 13×30-minute Season on the Edge, produced by Argoworks, is hosted by Ken Baldwin, an expert fisherman. Baldwin travels to fishing locales in Montauk, Mexico, Alaska, Florida, the Amazon and more to connect with locals and immerse himself in the setting. Fun World picked up the show for global distribution, except the U.S., where the series will start airing on NBC Sports Networks on December 26.

“Our goal as a distributor is pretty simple. We want to build a library of entertaining third-party content that fills the gap across underserved genres. The action in Superior Cage Combat easily rivals UFC matches and Season on the Edge goes beyond the action to tell the back stories and illustrate the heart and soul that will resonate with audiences worldwide,” said Andrew Schreiber, the president of sales for Fun World Media. “MIPCOM is the ideal market to launch these series in tandem with the launch of Fun World Media.”
