CORAL GABLES: Netflix subscribers across Latin America are set to gain access to productions from Telemundo Internacional, such as hit novela The Queen of the South, for streaming.

The deal will see Telemundo providing more than 1,200 hours per year of hit original productions to Netflix, including The Queen of the South (La Reina del Sur), which is set for Netflix’s premiere launch in Latin America in the SVOD platform in all connected devices later in the year. Netflix plans to expand to 43 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean before the end of the year.

“We are very proud to be working with Netflix and will fully support their international expansion strategy working closely with their executives to provide the best content Telemundo has to offer,” said Luis Daniel Capriles, the VP of international digital media at Telemundo Internacional. “The growth of Netflix’s SVOD platform is in our priority list as part of our expansion into all new media and emerging platforms.”
