NEW YORK: In commemoration of the tenth anniversary of 9/11, A&E and BIO Channel are to air four commercial-free documentaries that focus on topics surrounding the tragedy.

A&E will air Portraits from Ground Zero on September 10. The two-hour doc focuses on the work of Andrea Booher, one of the only photojournalists given 24-hour access to Ground Zero in the immediate aftermath of the attacks. Booher tracks down the people in her favorite pictures and gets them to tell the personal stories behind the photographs.

BIO Channel will premiere When Pop Culture Saved America on September 5, which features interviews with Kristen Chenoweth, Denis Leary, Dan Rather, Regis Philbin and other celebs who did their part with concerts, telethons and specials.

I Survived…9/11, airing September 6, profiles the stories of 12 fire fighters, ambulance workers, defense officials and ordinary office workers. And in Beyond: Messages from 9/11, airing September 10, families of 9/11 victims share their stories of the messages they received from beyond.
