Imira Sells Saari in Estonia

BARCELONA: Imira Entertainment has secured its first sale for the preschool series Saari in Eastern Europe, with the free-TV channel Tallinna Television in Estonia taking on the music-based show.

The 39×3-minute Flash animated show centers on the adventures of a group of friends on the island of Saari. The preschool series is a co-production from Stor Fisk, Imira Entertainment and TV3.

Christophe Goldberger, the head of distribution and marketing at Imira Entertainment, said: “This is our first Central European sale for Saari, which has already sold extensively across Europe as well as into Asia, Brazil and Argentina. We are focused on signing further deals from our library in CEE including a push into the region for our new live-action properties Lola and Virginia and eBand.”

Lola and Virginia is a live-action series that narrates the adventures of high school. The series, based on the hit animated show of the same name, is a co-production between Imira and Brave Film. Imira and Bravo also teamed up for the music-centric series eBand. eBand follows three teens who share a passion for music.
