YouTube Reaches 3 Billion Views Per Day

SAN BRUNO: In celebrating its sixth anniversary, YouTube marks the milestone of reaching 3 billion views a day, a 50-percent gain on last year’s figures.

More than 48 hours of video are uploaded to the site every minute, YouTube reports, marking a 37-percent increase over the last six months and 100-percent jump from last year. YouTube has passed the 3 billion views per day mark. That’s equivalent to nearly half of the world’s population watching a YouTube video each day, or every U.S. resident watching at least nine videos a day.
