CBS Claims 2010-2011 Season Win

NEW YORK: CBS is claiming victory in the 2010-2011 season among all viewers, while FOX looks set to again reign supreme among the 18-to-49 set.

CBS says this is its eighth victory in the past nine years among all viewers. In this demo, the network had the top five dramas: NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, The Mentalist, Criminal Minds and CSI. It also had the top two comedies, The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men. The number one show among total viewers and adults 18 to 49 is still American Idol, which wraps its tenth season tonight.

Among viewers 18 to 49, FOX says it is expected to win by a 21 percent margin over CBS, 40 percent over ABC and 52 percent over NBC. In this demo, CBS was second place, with ABC in third and NBC in fourth.
