NHK Tsunami Special to Air Internationally

TOKYO: NHK World TV is presenting international audiences with an English-language broadcast of the special Mega-Tsunami: How Can We Protect Life? on May 14.

The NHK special sheds light on questions such as What cause the giant tsunami that struck Japan in March? and How did people escape the violent waters? It features exclusive footage and amateur videos, much of which has never been broadcast before.

The program aired on NHK in Japan on May 7, with a 19 percent rating.
