LOS ANGELES: The Style Network has a host of new shows in development and has ordered ten episodes of Glam Fairy, a spinoff of Jerseylicious, from Endemol USA.

The new show focuses on Alexa Prisco as she sets up The Glam Factory to showcase her makeover magic and build up clientele. It premieres this October. “I’m thrilled that the hit status of Jerseylicious has spawned Glam Fairy and launched Alexa from a pivotal character in the series to the star of her own makeover show," said Salaam Coleman Smith, the president of The Style Network. "Her tremendous viewer popularity and extensive expertise make her a natural to continue to sprinkle her fairy dust over more deserving women with her own show."

The development slate for the 2011-2012 season, meanwhile, includes shows on fitness, organization and fashion, a family docudrama, a docuseries on expectant mothers preparing to give their children up for adoption and a topical lifestyle series.

"We are extremely happy to have assembled this compelling line-up of new programming for our viewers," said Coleman Smith. "While the shows are wide-ranging and diverse, each project is infused with Style’s ‘Before Meets After’ mantra and captures the aspirational and inspirational components of the network’s brand. Style viewers are well-rounded women with lots of different interests, and it is always our goal to find new and exciting ways to look at life, and to share those with our audience."
