Fox LOOK Sells Formats, Finished Programs in Multiple Territories

LOS ANGELES: Fox LOOK has signed deals for more than 400 hours of content from FOX and Hasbro for broadcast in a number of international markets.

A local production of Hasbro Studios’ Big Family Game Night has been optioned by Chinese state broadcaster CCTV and is currently in development with A Paravision. All 90-plus finished episodes of the family format have been sold to SolarTV/RPN in the Philippines. SolarTV also went for the hidden-camera series Busted & Disgusted, as well as all 180 episodes of the U.S. syndicated Ambush Makeover. Big Family Game Night secured a option with Constantin in Germany as well.

The hit reality format Beauty & the Geek has a local Indian version currently in production by Bulldog Media & Entertainment, with a launch set for later this month on STAR India’s Channel V. A local treatment has also been commissioned by Ukraine’s 1+1 channel, along with an option from Kapa Studios in Greece. Negotiations are under way on a third installment for both Seven Network in Australia and Rai Italy.

Addition sales from the non-scripted catalogue include the Fox Television Studios-produced reality show Jilted heading to Network Ten in Australia and FIC in the Middle East. The Academy has been picked up by MBC in the Middle East, The Swan is going to TV Asahi in Japan and TNT in Russia and Trading Spouses is set to air on SBS in the Netherlands and VMMa in Belgium. The Ex-Wives Club also scored a pickup from TNT in Russia, while Decision House was scooped up by Digicast Italy7.
