LONDON: Good Food has commissioned the new 20×1-hour series Perfect…, which features world-class chefs in a head-to-head cooking competition, from Optomen.

The show will see 26 world-class chefs going head to head to cook three versions of themed cuisines. Every episode will showcase six different recipes, three from each chef, including a classic, simple and ultimate version of their chosen food type. All of the recipes will then be available online at goodfoodchannel.co.uk.

Catherine Catton, UKTV’s commissioning editor, said: “We’re delighted to be teaming up with Optomen once more for such an exciting and ground-breaking series. Perfect… will showcase the ability of these world-class chef pairings, but also help to make some of their best known recipes accessible to our viewers.”

Richard Kingsbury, Good Food’s channel head, added: “This is a great opportunity for our foodie viewers to dive into the joyful detail of perfecting classic dishes. The series pairs up some amazing chef talent and mixes great banter with fantastic tips and techniques.”

Jayne Hibbitt, series producer at Optomen, said: “We’re delighted to work with the Good Food channel to bring on board such high calibre chef pairings as Ken Hom and Ching He-Huang and Theo Randall and Aldo Zilli. The Perfect… kitchen will be the ideal place to learn how to create the best possible meals.”
