New CEO for Azteca America

LOS ANGELES: Martin Breidsprecher has been upped to CEO of Azteca America, replacing Adrian Steckel, who left the U.S. Hispanic network to become CEO of Mexican telco Grupo Iusacell.

Breidsprecher has been with Azteca America since 2007, first as director of financial analysis, then as CFO, then, beginning in 2009, as COO. "Martin has solid leadership skills to strengthen Azteca America’s positioning as an unparalleled programming option for a growing number of Hispanics in the U.S.," said Luis J. Echarte, chairman of Azteca America. "He will build on the robust structure established by Adrian, who more than doubled revenue in five years, with strict cost controls and growing profitability."

Azteca America operates in 66 markets across the U.S.
