ABC Schedules New Competition Series

BURBANK: Take the Money and Run, a new competition series from the producers of The Amazing Race and the CSI franchise, is slated for an April 14 debut on ABC.

The series, which has a six-episode run slated in an 8 p.m. time slot, has a cat-and-mouse format that pits everyday people against real-life law enforcement for a $100,000 prize. The spy thriller will have audiences rooting for real people in different locations who are trying to outwit legitimate professions.

The show is produced by Profiles Television and Jerry Bruckheimer Television. Executive producers are Jerry Bruckheimer, Bertram van Munster, Jonathan Littman, Elise Doganieri and Philip Morrow. KristieAnne Reed and Mark Dziak are co-executive producers.
