PHILADELPHIA: Comcast is working with the John F. Kennedy (JFK) Presidential Library and Museum to make a slate of historical content available on demand, beginning today and running through February 25.

Marking the 50th anniversary of the Kennedy presidency, the offering includes famous speeches, debates, newsreels, campaign commercials, documentaries and films. Highlights include his inaugural address on January 20, 1961; newsreel footage of the 1960 press conference for the launch of the Peace Corps; plus docs such as The Election of John F. Kennedy, Eyewitness: Kennedy Up Close and A Tour of the White House with Jacqueline Kennedy.

“Our partnership with Comcast presents a unique opportunity to extend this far-reaching legacy of the Kennedy Presidency to new generations and to millions of homes throughout the United States,” said Tom Putnam, director of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library.

“For the first time, millions of our customers, along with a new generation of Americans, will be able to relive—and in some cases experience for the first time—President Kennedy’s legacy of service and the historic moments of his presidency from the comfort of their homes,” added Marcien Jenckes, senior VP and general manager of video and entertainment services for Comcast. “We are thrilled to offer this content On Demand and are proud to partner with the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library Foundation to help further President Kennedy’s message of service.”
