NORTH BERGEN: FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has tapped SkyZone Entertainment for the release of the new Hole in the Wall mobile game, which is headed to the iOS, BREW and J2ME platforms, with Android soon to follow.

Hole in the Wall, based on the popular Japanese game show, features two teams competing by attempting to force themselves through oddly shaped holes in a large moving wall. When one fails to do so, they are knocked into a pool of water below. The game gives players the chance to manipulate the avatar’s body with onscreen controls as they attempt to win points by fitting through increasingly difficult holes. As they advance through all nine levels, points earned can be used to "buy" in-game items like boots, helmets, suit upgrades and more to customize their character.

"SkyZone has never shied away from releasing mobile content based on successful entertainment properties, whether it be Animal House, The Three Stooges and now Hole In The Wall," said Key N. Sar, the chief marketing officer and business development director at SkyZone Entertainment. "With this game, we were able to distill the most important aspects of the show —teamwork, competition, joy, fun and tears—into a portable format where players could experience the absurdity at their fingertips."

"Hole In The Wall is one of the most exciting and innovative game show formats currently on television," added Nicholas Dale, the manager of interactive for FME. "We are excited to work with a talented partner like SkyZone to bring the unique gameplay of the show to its fans through mobile devices."
