BBC Worldwide Scores Sales Across CEE

CANNES: The spy drama Spooks is to air across the CIS and Baltic states through a deal signed between Fox Television and BBC Worldwide, which has sold some 800 hours of programming across Central and Eastern Europe.

Fox TV has also picked up the romantic comedy Married, Single, Other and the thriller Silent Witness. Channel Five in Russia went for Sherlock, along with 225 hours of programming from across factual areas. Russia’s Kultura picked up 84 hours, including History of Science, Wonder of the Solar System, Lennon Naked and Muddle Earth. Slovak TV of Slovakia has snapped up 52 hours that included programming for their BBC Earth branded slot.
