FX Takes TV Rights to The Social Network

LOS ANGELES: The Social Network, David Fincher’s new film about Facebook, has been snapped up by FX.

The movie, which stars Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield and Justin Timberlake, premiered in theaters on October 1, and brought in $23 million in its opening weekend.

The cable network also picked up the rights to Oliver Stone’s Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. Starring Shia LaBeouf, Carey Mulligan and Michael Douglas, the sequel to the hit ’80s movie took in $10.1 million in its second weekend, for a total of $35.9 million.
