LONDON: The family entertainment game show Face to Face has been re-commissioned by its launch broadcaster in Germany, and ALL3MEDIA International has further scored new options for the format.

The studio-based game show watches two contestants battle with brain teasers that are designed to test their logic, mental arithmetic, power of observation, concentration and general knowledge. Winning contestants return to face a new challenger and consecutive wins earn a player the distinction of Face to Face super champion, along with a cash jackpot. Face to Face is the international title for Das Duell, created by White Balance, the specialist game-show division of ALL3MEDIA sister company MME Moviement.

ARD, which originally commissioned the series, has given an order for a further 120 episodes. ALL3MEDIA has optioned the show to GloboMedia in Spain and a deal is close to wrapping up in France.

Stephanie Hartog, the executive VP of formats at ALL3MEDIA International, commented, “Since its launch at MIPTV, we have seen strong interest from international broadcasters for Face to Face, which offers a compelling, cost-effective prime-time format perfect for local production. ARD’s continued commitment to the show is fantastic proof of its great appeal and the success of the show we look forward to seeing equally successful versions going into production around the world."
