MTVNI Scores Deals in Spain, Latin America

LONDON: MTV Networks International (MTVNI) has signed a number of new deals and renewals with Spain’s TVE, while in Latin America the company scored agreements for Nickelodeon branded blocks with Telenica in Nicaragua and Venevision in Venezuela.

New deals with TVE, which are for its Clan TVE channel, include iCarly and Penguins of Madagascar, while SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer landed renewals. In all, TVE has 340 episodes currently in license, with new deals and renewals on 228 episodes closed this year.

The Telenica deal includes Dora the Explorer, Go! Diego, Go!, Back at the Barnyard, SpongeBob SquarePants, Penguins of Madagascar, iCarly and Ni-Hao Kai-Lan. The Venevision renewal includes Back at the Barnyard, Big Time Rush, Fairly Odd Parents, Fanboy & Chum Chum, iCarly, SpongeBob SquarePants, Penguins of Madagascar, Tak & the Power of Juju, The Mighty B! and True Jackson.
