Ovation to Honor American Film Directors

LOS ANGELES: Throughout the month of July, Ovation is celebrating some of America’s top cinematic talents with the programming event American Revolutionaries: The Directors, hosted by Roger Corman and Peter Bogdanovich.

The event will feature the pivotal films in the careers of directors such as Oliver Stone, Quentin Tarantino, Steven Spielberg, David Lynch, Woody Allen, Francis Ford Coppola, Mel Brooks, John Cassavetes, Sofia Coppola, Hal Ashby, John Waters, Bob Fosse, Peter Bogdanovich and Julie Taymor. The month-long programming event kicks off on July 1 with Spielberg’s directing debut, Duel. Other films featured throughout the month include Lynch’s Lost Highway, Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs, Stone’s Wall Street, Allen’s Sweet and Lowdown and Bogdanovich’s Paper Moon.

OvationTV.com will support the event with a month of promotions, exclusive video segments and content, including “Everyone’s a Critic! Love It or Hate It?,” which will highlight user-submitted video reviews of the featured films. The best review will be showcased online and on air.
