LONDON: A fast-turnaround acquisition, Volcanic Ash: Flight of Terror, which recounts the first case of a plane flying through volcanic ash, is to air tomorrow on Five.

The documentary was originally produced by Cineflix and is being reversioned by Matt Bennett, the commissioning editor of factual at Five, to make reference to the current crisis with the Icelandic volcano. Volcanic Ash: Flight of Terror tells of British Airways Flight 009, which filled with sulphurous smoke after flying into a cloud of volcanic ash over Indonesia almost 30 years ago.

Five will air the documentary on April 21 at 10 p.m.
