CANNES: Just a week after reaching a deal with Channel One for a Russian version of Prison Break, Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution is working with CTC on a local version of the hit comedy How I Met Your Mother.

The Russian network has previously adapted The Nanny and Everybody Loves Raymond. Its Russian spin on How I Met Your Mother is due to premiere in the fall. It will be produced by Goodstorymedia and is set to star Anna Kuzminskaya, Valentin Stepanov, Alexander Smirnov, Tatyana Fyodorovskaya and Skotnikow Alexander. The series will be executive produced by Artyom Loginov, Anton Shchyukin, Anton Zaytsev and CTC Network CEO Vyacheslav Murugov.

“We are confident that this project will be a success and believe in the concept of making the most out of a partnership as great as the one between Fox and CTC," Murugov said. "It has the potential of broadening the horizons of CTC Media and gives opportunities for further development and future achievements.”
