Televisa to Offer Telenovelas, Formats, Series

MEXICO CITY: At this year’s MIPTV, Televisa Internacional has a lineup of telenovelas, series, reality-show contests and more to offer buyers.

In the telenovela genre, A Woman of Steel is a 150×1-hour HD title, also available as a format. Also available in HD is the 150×1-hour A Double Identity, full of romance, music and energy. A New Beginning, another 150×1-hour HD novela, centers on a famous actress and singer who grows tired of life in the spotlight and wants a change. Further titles on the novela slate include Curse By the Sea, set in a small fishing village, and Wild Heart, about two individuals from different social classes who are deeply in love.

A new addition to Televisa’s slate is the light-entertainment format Decades. The variety show revives music moments of the last five decades with famous guest stars. In the way of series comes The Disorderly Maids of the Neighborhood, about five housekeepers who work in a residential condominium and one day decide to build a swimming pool.

From Nickelodeon Latin America, Illusion Studios and Televisa is Sueña Conmigo, a 120×1-horu telenovela about two teenagers who want to realize their dreams. Produced by Argentina’s Pol-ka, Somebody to Love has 210 hour-long episodes available for buyers. Also from Pol-Ka are Wicket Girl, a novela that revenge, and the mini-series The Man Who Came Back from Death. The telenovela Spoiled Kids, produced by Argentina’s Ideas del Sur, showcases the lives of 24 kids between the ages of 5 and 14 who are attending a boarding school for naughty children.
