Liberation Entertainment Winds Down

LOS ANGELES: Liberation Entertainment, an independent content company founded in 2007, is closing up shop, with its assets to be liquidated in an attempt to repay the firm’s creditors.

At the end of last month, Liberation transferred ownership of its assets to California-based CMBG Advisors. According to the general assignment for the benefit of creditors, CMBG Advisors will liquidate the assets, wind down Liberation and distribute the net liquidation proceeds to creditors.

Liberation represents the rights to a range of animated shows as well as feature films and library series.
