Ex-FremantleMedia Exec Joins MTV Networks Latin America

MIAMI: Carole Bardasano, formerly with FremantleMedia, has been named senior director of programming and acquisitions for MTV and VH1 in Latin America.

In her new post at MTV Networks Latin America, Bardasano, based in Miami, reports to Fernando Gaston, the senior VP of content for MTV and VH1 in the region. Her mandate covers the development and implementation of programming strategies for the two channels, as well as seeking out and acquiring content. She will also supervise the brands’ local programming strategists based in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico.

“Carole’s strong industry experience and viewer expertise will be a great asset to our organization,” said Gaston. “We look forward to her leadership and innovative programming ideas as we continue to find new and creative ways to reach our audience throughout Latin America.”

Bardasano was most recently VP of sales and marketing for FremantleMedia in Latin America. She is also a former programming director for Warner Channel and ex-executive producer at Telemundo Studios.
