Skins Sells to MTV Latin America & VH1 Brazil

LAS VEGAS: MTV Networks Latin America and VH1 Brazil have acquired the second season of the British teen drama Skins from ALL3MEDIA International.

Skins follows a group of teenagers and their personal struggles with issues such as race, religion, sexuality, drugs and eating disorders. Skins, which made its debut on MTV Latin America in 2009, will launch into its second season in February on the channel, with a subtitled version on VH1 Brazil.

Skins is a raw scripted drama with controversial plotlines that explore the issues affecting teens around the world such as pregnancy, substance abuse and disorders, among others,” said Dean Broadhurst, the senior director of programming for MTV and VH1 Latin America. “The show’s first season had tremendous success on MTV Latin America, bringing to our attention the need to offer more real and relevant content to our viewers.”
