CABLEready Takes New HD Docu-Thriller

NORWALK: Lore, a new docu-thriller from the producers of Women Behind Bars and Women on Death Row, has joined CABLEready’s catalogue and will be on offer at NATPE.

The 5×2-hour series features stories based on the events of true crimes that embrace folklore. The series joins further factual offerings of CABLEready’s NATPE slate such as Wine Portfolio, a luxury travel series that focuses on wine-producing regions; What I Learned from the Movies, which takes a comedic look at how movies have shaped our lives; and Spotlight, a weekly half-hour series that covers the movie business from every angle.

Also on CABLEready’s roster for NATPE are Secret’s Out, a weekly series for movie fans about the hidden-gems hitting the theaters; Hollywood Dailies, also a weekly series, in which two movie fans share their views on Hollywood’s newest trailers; and Movies and Music, exploring the memorable songs and scores from iconic films.

There’s also offerings like Chain Gang Girls 2, which features the women and law-enforcement officers that are part of a public punishment plan of a 15-woman chain gang, and Women Behind Bars, in its third season, exploring the wide range of motivations that compel females to commit murder.

Gary Lico, the president and CEO of CABLEready, said: “Based on our long-standing reputation in the global marketplace, CABLEready continues to be the first choice for producers of high quality programming seeking a distribution partner. This has resulted in our ability to provide broadcasters with premium content that attracts viewers and advertisers while enhancing their overall program lineup.”
