Shanghai Media Group & MyChinaChannel Enter Partnership

SINGPORE: WingsMedia, the distribution arm of Shanghai Media Group (SMG), and MyChinaChannel (MCC) have stuck up a partnership to bring a number of Chinese projects to the worldwide market.

A co-production deal has been signed for two infotainment programs: China Trend and Foreigners Living in China, which will be jointly distributed. China Trend, a 26-episode series, will focus on the latest news in lifestyle, fashion, entertainment and new trends in China. Foreigners Living in China will discuss the experiences of expatriates living and working in China. To enhance the international feel of the series, a production team from SMG International Channel Shanghai (ICS) has been brought on to work with producers from MCC. The show will air on ICS next year.

WingsMedia and MCC also inked a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly aggregate and distribute the best of Chinese drama and movies for distribution via time-belt outsourcing business model with established networks around Asia.
