SKY Italia Taps Brightcove for Online Video

MILAN/CAMBRIDGE: SKY Italia is using Brightcove’s Internet TV platform for its online video initiatives on SKY.it.

The Brightcove platform will be used to by the satellite TV operator to deploy ad-supported, customized video players for its sports, news and lifestyle content. “Video is a core element to the SKY.it online experience, so it is crucial that we’re able to deliver the highest quality viewing and end-user experience possible,” said Francesca Folda, the editor in chief at SKY.it.
 
The features of the Brightcove platform will enable SKY.it to increase viewer engagement with its video content and boost its online audience in Italy through third-party distribution, advanced sharing features and analytics capabilities. The platform will also be utilized to offer new video ad opportunities.
