Jim Henson Seeks Co-Pro Partners on Pajanimals

LOS ANGELES: The Jim Henson Company will be on hand at MIPCOM introducing the new series Pajanimals, which airs in the U.S. in short-form format, to potential co-production partners.

The company is in development to create 26 half-hour episodes, also available as 78 seven-minute episodes. Produced by The Jim Henson Company and 4Kids Entertainment, the series is made up of 10×2-minute music videos. Pajanimals was commissioned by Sprout.

The new show will feature the Pajanimals, four cuddly puppets, who upon falling asleep each night enter a world of adventure. These journeys help kids discovery just how cozy and safe nighttime can be when accompanied by friendship and a song.

"Every parent knows that bedtime battles are no fun for anyone,” said Sam Ewing, the head of international sales at The Jim Henson Company. “Our hopes for the new extended length episodes of Pajanimals is that it will help our young audiences worldwide transition from daytime into a peaceful evening routine in the same way that the two-minute segments did.”
