Cookie Jar Sells New & Classic Titles

TORONTO: Cookie Jar Entertainment has struck new deals for series such as Metajets, Caillou, Johnny Test and Hurray for Huckle/Busytown Mysteries.

Metajets is scheduled to air on Nickelodeon in Spain and Portugal in 2010 and on Turkey’s Dogan TV/D-Smart Platform. A fifth season of Caillou has been presold to Germany’s SUPER RTL, who also renewed the existing 66 half-hours. France’s Boomerang and Australia’s ABC TV also went for 66 half-hours of the series.

A multi-territory deal was signed with both Nickelodeon and Turner Broadcasting for season four of the action-comedy Johnny Test. The series heads to Nickelodeon in Italy, Germany, France and Benelux, as wall as Cartoon Network in the U.K., Scandinavia and throughout Central and Eastern Europe. The show has also been scooped up by Filmmedya in Turkey, Orlando Kids in Croatia and Tooniverse in Korea.

The new season Hurray for Huckle/Busytown Mysteries has been sold to RTE in Ireland, RUV in Iceland, SVT in Sweden and YLE in Finland. The series, inspired by the classic work of author Richard Scarry, also went to ABC TV in Australia, TVP in Poland and HOP Channel in Israel.
