4Kids Entertainment Ups West to EVP of Acquisitions and Development

NEW YORK, April 30: 4Kids Entertainment has upped senior VP
Carlin C. West to executive VP of acquisitions and development, where she will
be charged with directing the online and retail launch of the multiplatform
trading card game Chaotic this year.

In her new role, West will be responsible for managing the
multiple aspects of the Chaotic
franchise, including overseeing the marketing, public relations, trade and
consumer advertising, coordinating the brand's licensed merchandise program,
and working with 4Kids Productions on the Chaotic animated TV series. West will also serve as the
liaison to Bryan Gannon, the CEO and president of TC Digital Games and TC
Websites, affiliates of 4Kids Entertainment. TC Digital Games will produce the Chaotic Trading Card Game, and TC Websites will create the
website where the Chaotic trading
card game can be played online. Chaotic launches at hobby and comic stores in June and at mass retailers
nationwide in the fall.

West was promoted from her position as SVP, where she oversaw
the company's marketing, advertising, and public relations departments. She was
responsible for the launch of Pokémon and
Yu-Gi-Oh! as well as managing the
licensing, marketing, and public relations for the World Championship
Wrestling
, Monster Jam, the American Kennel Club, The Dog
and most recently, the successful rebirth of the Cabbage Patch Kids, first
exclusively to Toys R' Us and then to Play Along for the mass market. West
joined 4Kids in 1993 as a creator and independent television producer for the
live action martial arts-themed weekly kids’ series WMAC (World
Martial Arts Council) Masters
, which was
4Kids Entertainment's first broadcast TV series.
