3DD Inks Central Eastern European Deals

LONDON, June 29: 3DD has
secured a number of package deals with Central Eastern European buyers after
the close of DISCOP.

In Bulgaria, the music
channel MM TV purchased 20 episodes of London Live (aka The Album Chart Show), originally commissioned by Channel 4 and E4. MM
TV also picked up London Live: Primal Scream Special, which features an eclectic selection of twelve
live shows from artists such as Cher, Judas Priest, Ja Rule, Moby, Stereo MC’s
and more.

Slovenian state
broadcaster RTV, acquired the documentary films Punk: Attitude, The Refugee All Stars and Good Rockin’ Tonight, and the concerts Franz Ferdinand:Live in
Edinburgh,
Gorillaz: Demon Days
Live in Manchester
and Zucchero:
Zu & Co.

Croatia’s HRT purchased
concerts from Kaiser Chiefs, Snow Patrol, Franz Ferdinand and James Blunt, and
three episodes of late night British music program, Later with Jools Holland. In Romania, Realitatea secured eight live music
shows featuring Dire Straits, INXS, Moby, Sheryl Crow and Simply Red.

“Eastern and Central
Europe provides 3DD with a core of regular buyers who have become important to
our business,” says 3DD sales manager, James Anderson. “Discop has proved a
useful market to cement these relationships, as well as establish new clients
in TV, home video, and the emerging VOD buyers in these territories.”
