30 Rock, Mad Men Repeat Emmy Wins

NEW YORK: At the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards, Little Dorrit took home the most wins, with seven in total, followed by Grey Gardens with six and 30 Rock with five.

Total wins for HBO were 16, then NBC with 11. ABC and FOX both scored eight wins, while CBS, PBS and Cartoon Network each had six. Showtime scored five nods, followed by HISTORY with three and AMC with two.

Outstanding drama series again went to Mad Men. Bryan Cranston of Breaking Bad took the lead actor nod for drama, while Glenn Close won as best actress for Damages. Supporting wins went to Lost’s Michael Emerson and 24‘s Cherry Jones.

In the comedy arena, 30 Rock won again as best series. Alec Baldwin scored another win for the series on the performance side, while Toni Collette took the best actress win for United States of Tara. Supporting actress went to Kristin Chenoweth for her role in the now-cancelled Pushing Daisies, and Jon Cryer of Two and a Half Men won best supporting actor.

For reality, The Amazing Race won as best competition program, while Survivor‘s Jeff Probst took the win for outstanding host in the category. Best actress in a mini-series or movie went to Jessica Lange for Grey Gardens, best actor was Brendan Gleeson for Into the Storms. Supporting wins in the mini-series or movie category were Shohreh Aghdashloo for House of Saddam and Ken Howard for Grey Gardens. Grey Gardens won for outstanding made-for-TV movie, and Little Dorrit took outstanding mini-series.
