Pamela Parker Moves Up at SPT Networks

Pamela Parker has been elevated to executive VP of business affairs and acquisitions at Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks.

Parker has been overseeing legal and business affairs to bring best-in-class programming to SPT Networks channels, including formats and adaptations such as The Amazing Race, Pop Idol, Top Model, Top Chef and Shark Tank; franchises like CSI, The Voice and The Blacklist; and such global originals as Hannibal, Crossing Lines and Absentia. She first joined SPT in 1999 as director of business affairs and acquisitions. She previously practiced corporate and entertainment law.

“The increasing complexity of our deals around the world demands both a fierce and flexible approach, and Pamela has consistently proven herself to be a strong advocate for our channels worldwide,” said Marie Jacobson, SPT Networks’ executive VP of programming and production, in a note announcing Parker’s promotion. “We owe much of our success to a phenomenal business affairs team, and Pamela has assembled and mentored one of the very best in the business. Together, they help SPT Networks close over 1,000 deals a year.”
