EPIX Slates Original Premieres

NEW YORK: Among the titles featured on EPIX’s original programming slate for summer and fall are the documentary William Shatner’s Get a Life! and the comedy event Jim Norton: Please Be Offended.

Premiering June 30, Jim Norton: Please Be Offended will feature the comedian and best-selling author as he performs unfiltered and uncensored in front of an audience in Cleveland, Ohio. Following with a July premiere is William Shatner’s Get a Life! The original doc is based on Shatner’s successful book, examining the mystery, longevity and cultural phenomena of Star Trek and its fans.

The original movie Roger Corman’s Attack of the 50 Foot Cheerleader in 3D is set for an August premiere. Marking Corman’s first-ever 3D film, this will be an update to the genre pictures of the ’50s. The September grid features the doc Flight 800: A 14-Year Investigation Cracks the Case, examining a multi-agency cover up of what really happened to TWA Flight 800. The movie A Liar’s Autobiography: The Untrue Story of Monty Python’s Graham Chapman premieres in November. The 3D animated biopic is based on the memoir of the late Monty Python member, who passed away in 1989.

EPIX also has a lineup of sports fare coming. Lucian Bute vs. Carl Froch World Super Middleweight Championship will be televised on May 26. Wladimir Klitscho vs. Tony Thompson World Heavyweight Championship is airing on July 7.
